Password Protection

Entertainment Partners VPO accounts are password-protected so that only authorized users have access. We recommend that you create a difficult-to-guess password that’s at least eight characters in length, and that you do not divulge your password to anyone.

You should also remember to always sign out of your Entertainment Partners VPO account and close your browser window when you have finished your work. This is to prevent others from accessing your personal information if you share a computer with someone else or use a workstation in a public place.

Timed Log-off

If you forget to logoff, Entertainment Partners does it for you by terminating your VPO session when you haven't used it for 30 minutes.

Encryption

Your VPO password and all data sent or received from VPO are scrambled using some of the strongest forms of encryption commercially available for use over the Internet. Entertainment Partners uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, which provides 128-bit encryption to all VPO data in transit. SSL forms a secure data “pipe” between the Entertainment Partners VPO servers and the customer web browser -- the same tough, industry best practice encryption that protects customer data for the Internet’s largest banking and commerce sites.

Entertainment Partners ensures that all VPO sessions are encrypted. If, for any reason, your secure session ends, your VPO session terminates.

When you visit any web site, you can verify that encryption is being used on a given page by looking for icons in the lower portion of your browser. All VPO-supported browsers provide detailed information on security levels. For example, Microsoft Internet Explorer displays the icon in the lower right corner of the browser. For secure sessions, a closed lock icon will be displayed. For unsecured pages, no lock icon will be displayed.

Firewalls

Firewalls block unauthorized access by individuals or networks. Firewalls are one way Entertainment Partners protects our computer network systems that interact with the Internet. Much like its physical counterpart, a firewall protects the inside of Entertainment Partners' computer systems by refusing entry to what isn't authorized. To pass through this checkpoint, your browser must know the protocol to use — in other words, the language to speak — that will allow it to obtain authorized information, but only from designated Entertainment Partners systems.

Computer Virus Protection

Computer virus protection detects and prevents computer viruses from entering our computer network systems.

Entertainment Partners’ security team constantly monitors our security systems to make sure that your VPO data is safe and secure.

Entertainment Partners’ Internet hosting facility is characterized by extremely high levels of physical security. All physical access to the data center is strictly audited and the facility is guarded 24 hours a day.

Backup of VPO Data

All customer data is backed up nightly and these backups are stored at a secure, remote facility. Even in case of disaster, Entertainment Partners will continue to assure the greatest possible availability of customer data.
