Attention All Vista and Global Vista Clients:


Effective 2007, the IRS will only accept 1099 filings through their FIRE (Filing Information Returns Electronically) upload site, for the number of 1099s in excess of 250. Consequently, the use of EP's Transmitter Control Code (TCC) number has changed. For 2007 IRS tax filing, EP is encouraging clients to secure their own TCC number, but there are a number of options available to best serve our clients.


To help ease into this new filing requirement, EP is offering clients the following options:

1. Do It Yourself

• Obtain a TCC number via Form 4419 from the IRS and use it to file 1099s electronically.
• Client uploads their IRSTAX file using their TCC/EIN.


2. EP Will Do It For You

In addition, for clients who cannot, or prefer not to secure a TCC, EP offers to transmit on their behalf.

• EP can transmit on your show's behalf using EP's TCC number.
• EP will interact between the show and the IRS to ensure completeness of filing.
• EP will charge a small fee for file transmission and interaction.

3. Use a 3rd Party e-File Vendor

Finally, many 3rd party transmitters exist to help you through the e-filing process.

• Locate a 3rd party vendor using the list of approved vendors on IRS website.
• Utilize a 3rd party vendor to transmit the IRSTAX file on your show's behalf.
• A fee is associated with 3rd party vendor services.
